Albi, Arabic for “my heart,” is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Washington, DC where Chef Michael Rafidi translates his Palestinian heritage into an intimate, live-fire dining experience. Initially brought on to develop the brand in 2020 and updating it again for 2025, the challenge was clear: create an identity as layered and specific as the cooking itself. Rooted in family, memory, and the traditions of Palestine and the greater Levant region, Albi needed a visual language that could hold that weight without being heavy: warm, personal, and alive. Rooted in the region's textures and colors, combined with the quiet elegance of fine dining, we developed a brand system that feels both inherited and new. The identity carries the softness of something handmade alongside the confidence of a restaurant that has earned its place, with a Michelin star each year since 2022, a James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef in 2024, and a spot on North America's 50 Best in 2025.
