Annual Report
The Smithsonian mission is driven not just by ideals, but by the passionate people who carry out these shared goals. The 2022 annual report shines a spotlight on just a few of those who are making change and advancing the institution in unique and exciting ways. Partnering with a cadre of talented illustrators and photographers, we created a dynamic book of portraiture, highlighting the work and passions of these amazing individuals. The dynamism resulting from the use of these various illustration styles, oversized spreads, and the addition of short sheets embedded throughout, creates a narrative energy that reinforces the vast range of specialization and cross-pollination found under Smithsonian's umbrella.
