Annual Report
The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with twenty-one museums, fourteen education and research centers, and the National Zoo. Though synonymous with Washington, DC, this vast network stretches far beyond the National Mall. From Florida to Montana, Hawaiʻi to Panama, we used photocollage and custom photography to structure this annual report around Smithsonian’s impact across four distinct locations, focusing the lens on its scientific, cultural, and artistic endeavors. The final printed piece is a warm and richly-textured book that illuminates the institution’s expansive reach. Select photography by Michelle Mishina Kunz, Gabby Salazar, and Roshan Patel.
